How can I improve my Mandarin Language?

   Oh hope that you have enjoyed your stay in Singapore so far. It is GOOD staying here isn’t it =D Actually it is fairly easy to master spoken Chinese in Singapore. As you might have know, all our Chinese TV channels have english subtitles underneath. The actor and actress usually spoke a lot during TV drama series. So I suggest you to watch more TV drama series from Channel U & 8. Apart from that, I’m sure you will have Chinese collegues working with you isn’t it? There are lots of Chinese in Singapore. How about radio programmes? Do you listen to them? For example Yes 933, Radio 100.3, 883Jia FM, Love 972, Capital 958 FM. There are tonnes of ways for you to immerse yourself into spoken Chinese in Singapore. Just try harder to find other ways apart from what I have mentioned. You will find them easily.

   lessons! text books! maybe learn an easier language that is similar first, like cantonese or something

   Take classes. You might as well learn it since China is going to take over most of the world. It’ll be useful to learn. I encourage you to learn it.

   the best way to improve is to speak it every day……..and remember it!!! it helps with the pronunciation

   practice speaking it everyday with your co-worker or friend who is fluent in mandarin.
