English is 26 letters.
Arabic is 29 letters.
Chinese is ....??????

    Chinese words consists of characters, not letters…

    the Chinese language does not have an alphabet.

    Chinese does not use an alphabet, it is written with characters, and that is not just a semantic difference.

    There are approximately 47,035 characters in the Kangxi dictionary, but a person can be considered fully literate in Chinese with a knowledge of as few as three to four thousand of those.
