Is the Polish language as difficult to learn as the Chinese language?
When I visited Krakow in 2007, I struggled to learn the Polish language. I would tell people there Polish is a hard language to learn, they would say it is supposed to be one of the most difficult languages to learn...comparing it to the Chinese language in difficulty. Is that true?

Speaking(wise), yes. The language is difficult to pronounce and has many nuances when it comes to accents and diacritical marks.
However, writing Chinese is much more difficult, as it is a character based system and not at all similar to any Western alphabet.
nope
yes
thats what i hear as well….
i speak polish… and it is hard… i cant imagine someone learning it without being born with it….. thatd be crazy.
but ppl do for sure.
I wish i knew someone who spoke chinese and polish so they would know….
but if its true then that pretty cool, knowing a language thats supposedly just as hard as chinese sounds.
All you have to do it make a lot of crackling noises, to learn to spell polish just blindly hit your keys on your keyboard or hold a pen on paper and have a seizure.
any language I don’t speak seems to be difficult to even hear it. Both tonal languages in Asia and non tonal laguages in other coutries tend to speak so fast to my ears. It’s like I can never learn it.
No, it is not. Most of the Polish grammar is similar to other European languages, the alphabet is mostly the same, and neither of these things can be said about Chinese.
Chinese is much harder although any new language takes allot of time and effort. It can take years of practice before you can have a "normal" conversation with a native speaker.
Chinese, Arabic and many other languages are much harder then Polish, Polish is a Slavic language so many other Slavic nations are able to understand Polish.
As far as learning a new European language, Hungarian and Finnish would be the hardest.Their grammer and alaphbet are very different then any other language.
its very easy one ya know it i been in a polish class for 6 -7 years! i go to a polsih school its very easy!
definitely not, i learn chinese and i am Polish and i learned polish very quick. It took me about 5 years to learn how to speak and read chinese.
Polish is the hardest language to learn. Every word in Polish has about 24 forms for every English word
example:
English
It is my computer
About my computer
with my computer
Polish
To jest mój komputer
o moim komputerze
z moim komputerem
It would be if it was in cyrillic (i.e. like д е ё ж з и й к л м н о п р с т у ф х ц ч)
lol.. It would probably take me an extra 5 years to figure that out.
lawl
I go to polish school and I think polish is definatly easier than english
the only hard part is changing the ending
i would think chinese is hard
Polish is difficult to learn, but it’s worth the effort.
I know Korean -Hangul , Chinese Mandarin ( very well ) , Polish not to bad ,and English I guess fluently .
I my modest opinion Polish is difficult to learn . Has many words to memorize and very difficult grammar but language as is , to hard to learn .
Actually Chinese in easy to learn , no past tens , no plural etc.
