Mandarin Chinese pinyin translator? Does it exist?
I'm looking for something that I can type pinyin in and it will translate into the Chinese Traditional characters, is there one out there online?

I would suggest the program called WaKan from,http://wakan.manga.cz/, it has a text editor that you write in pinyin and select the correct character for the meaning. It has a dictionary and also also text editing for Japanese (Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji)
Windows has that function already. You need to install Asian languages on your computer first from the control panel. It’s under ‘Regional and Languages’ option.
i dont think such a translator exists cos many Chinese characters share the same hanyu pinyin but with different pitch

Maybe it’s not what you’re looking for but i think it’s very helpful
Are you talking about inputing pinyin onto your computer, and having it come up with the characters? If so, you want to get an IME (Chinese traditional). It is a download from Microsoft (if you use windows) that is free.
If you are wanting to do it online, I would recomend using an online dictionary – such as at http://www.yellowbridge.com , http://www.mandarintools.com or http://www.zhongwen.com
These are NOT translation sites
Then there is also http://big5.waiyu.org (traditional) where you can use the sentance builder to enter in pinyin and then choose the correct characters for each one.
hope this helps.
