I want to install Chinese language into my computer. I have a microsoft windows xp laptop. How do I do this?

I have a microsoft windows xp laptop computer. I wanto to install the Chinese language so that I can type, read , and write Chinese. When I go to the Language section and try to install "eastern asian Language" it says "please install xjis.nis from windows xp home edition" what does this mean?
