I'm a college student who's taken one year of Chinese courses at a previous institution and would like to take more, but the university I'm at now doesn't offer them, nor do any of the colleges in the area. I would like to continue my studies, with or without college credit. Can anyone suggest an inexpensive, online language course or something similar?

MY friend says if you're asian and you take Mandarin as a foreign language in high school, good colleges won't like it or even accept it.
I don't know Mandarin though.

I will be a senior this year in high school. I would like to find a good college in Missouri that offer a Chinese language program. I want to continue learning Chinese after high school because I want to become a Chinese language interpreter and later on a Chinese teacher. I want to find a nice College that will offer an exchange program so I can go over to China/ Taiwan to study. So can anyone recommend any colleges?
