I have a microsoft windows xp laptop computer. I wanto to install the Chinese language so that I can type, read , and write Chinese. When I go to the Language section and try to install "eastern asian Language" it says "please install xjis.nis from windows xp home edition" what does this mean?
I'm learning how to type in Chinese using Microsoft Pinyin IME but I want to know how to type the numbers 1 - 100.
I recently got a computer with Vista installed on it. I want to type traditional Chinese characters (Taiwan) using pinyin as the input method, however, pinyin is not one of the options listed. I can type simplified Chinese using pinyin (Microsoft IME pinyin). When I had XP, this option was also provided for traditional characters, but I don't see it for Vista.
Do I need a download of somekind so I can type traditional characters using pinyin? Is there something that I should do that I am not doing?
How do you turn off Chinese pinyin in microsoft word? Its fine when using the internet, but when I try to type in English on word, it just tries to type Chinese. This is my friend's computer who is Chinese, and I can't read any of the characters. He's asleep right now so I can't ask him lol. Thanks
