How can I get windows xp to display chinese without changing the language for non-unicode programs? I have already installed the files for East Asian Languages, but Chinese Text in programs still won't show. Like in my Internet Explorer, chinese text in webpages show, but chinese text in the favourites menu don't show, but instead come out in funny characters!

I tried to go to the Regional and Language Option. Select tab Language then in the tab Settings, there is a drop-down menu but i can only find English (United States). When i try to add new language they prompt me for Windows XP cd2. But as far as i am aware there is only 1 cd for Windows XP. I have it. I tried loading it but they still want disc 2. Is there another way? What can i do?

I've been trying to add Chinese PinYin onto my language keyboard so that i could type chinese. I went to Control Panel, Region and Language, then I clicked Language, then add, and I don't see any chinese language that I could add (not even Hong Kong, taiwan, singapore version). I tried to go to the Windows XP website, but they won't let me download the language pack. What should I do?

I have a microsoft windows xp laptop computer. I wanto to install the Chinese language so that I can type, read , and write Chinese. When I go to the Language section and try to install "eastern asian Language" it says "please install xjis.nis from windows xp home edition" what does this mean?

chinese characters don't show up in my computer. i tried searching in google for chinese language packs but in one of the first results in required office xp and i have no idea what that is. I have windows XP with Internet explorer and mozilla firefox. please help me asap! 10 points people! lol!

I have a Dell Dimension 3000 running Windows XP Home Edition, can I make it translate the Chinese language and the little boxes they use to English to where I can understand it? Please help.
