What are the good Chinese language schools in Taiwan?

   If you are just going to learn (Mandarin) Chinese, I would suggest to go to Taipei, which is the biggest city in Taiwan. Most of the political and cultural activities happen there. The public transportation in Taipei is also very convenient. I never drove when I lived in Taipei.
   However, the cost is also more in Taipei than in other places.

   Here are some choices ( in Taipei )…

   1. National Taiwan University:

   The most prestigious university in Taiwan. Many of the politicians, government officers, and university professors graduated from here.
   e.g.
   But this seems not import to your language study.

   It’s very close to the city center.

   2. National Taiwan Normal university:

   This school was founded basically to train the future teachers in high school. They are experiend in teaching.

   The most advantage of this school is that many famous Chinese calligraphers are there. Quite often, they offer calligraphy courses to public. um…..but I am afraid that those calligraphers do not speak English.

   It’s also very close to the city center.
   The night market over there is also very famous.

   3. National Chengchi University:

   This university is famous for study of business, literature, and other social science.

   It’s not very close to the city center.
   ( about 30 minutes to go..)
