Need to choose between learning mandarin chinese and ap world history because of a conflict with my other classes

I say mandarin because next year you can take the AP world history. Taking the world history this year won’t be all that impressive since everyone has to take it in 10th grade anyways.
Also to note that grades aren’t counted in freshman year so ur ap wouldnt count for your gpa, which kinda sucks.

my brother does Ap, and he’s looking good for standford.
he has HARD homework and long to finish and his teacher gave him a long summer report to do.
If you are willing to take the ap exam for that class(very hard) it shows colleges that your serious about school. Mandarin might be impressive since its not offered everywhere but its only a foreign language class that everyone in high school must take one of the sort.
