why is learning the chinese language important?

   It’s the most spoken language in the world, China is a large and developing nation, the Chinese are not nearly as sympathetic to foreigners, and I have a question: You mean Mandarin Chinese, right? Because if you mean Cantonese or one of the other kinds, then it’s not the most spoken…

   Chinese is spoken by more than half the world’s population.
   that is a powerfully large number of people; it just seems respectable to learn their language.

   The US, and other countries, are doing more and more business with the Chinese. Learning Chinese now wil be a plus if you want to work for one of the multinational companies, or many places in the federal government.

   China has a very high percentage of the worlds population and is one of the largest producer of consumer goods.
